Pastoral Care

WVU Healthcare offers a full-range of pastoral care and spiritual care support services for patients and their family members, regardless of faith group or belief. Chaplains are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Chaplains can also help by contacting spiritual and religious leaders in the community for patients and family members.

The staff includes board certified chaplains, full-time chaplain residents in training and part-time training chaplains. Chaplains serve on the Health Ethics Committee, the Organ Donation Committee, the Organizational Ethics Committee, and the Palliative Care Team.
