Partial Hospitalization Services

Chestnut Ridge's Partial Hospitalization Program is an intensive outpatient treatment option for adults (ages 18 and over) who do not require inpatient care. This program affords the patient the opportunity to remain at home while seeking an intensive structured, therapeutic environment during the day.
 
Partial Hospitalization offers many benefits to patients, including a structured daily schedule, intensive treatment including group and individual therapy, medical and medication management, communication and healthful life enrichment skills. The Partial Hospitalization program operates Monday through Friday from 9:30 to 2:00 p.m.  Transportation and lunch are provided.
 
Through the Partial Hospitalization Program there are two specialized tracks. 

Track One is designed for adults who require a short term program to stabilize mental health issues while maintaining the home environment.  Partial Hospitalization may help to lay the groundwork for follow-up therapy and facilitate the transition from inpatient care.  Medicare, Medicaid, and most commercial insurances are accepted for this track of service.

Track Two is for individuals who have experienced long-standing mental health issues and who require intensive community services. The purpose of this program is to provide patients with intensive outpatient treatment in order to avoid unnecessary hospitalizations and to help the patient be successful in his/her home environment.  Medicare is accepted for payment for this track of service.
