Maternal-Fetal Medicine

WVU Hospitals Maternal-Fetal Medicine program provides perinatal, genetics, and ultrasound services to pregnant women. We serve more than 350 women yearly, and more than 100 additional high-risk patients receive care through our outpatient services.

We are strongly committed to providing care for the women of West Virginia and the surrounding region. Our Maternal-Fetal Medicine team is made up of:

maternal-fetal medicine specialists
a nurse practitioner, certified in high-risk perinatal nursing
a high-risk perinatal nurse coordinator
a genetics counselor
3 ultrasonographers

Perinatal genetic services include targeted ultrasound and genetic amniocentesis. We also have our own on-site cytogenetics laboratory.

WVU Maternal-Fetal Medicine has an extensive outreach program with obstetrical consultation services to more than 20 hospitals in the region.
