Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery WVU’s Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery doctors perform a full range of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries for patients from around the state and region. Through the Center for Cosmetic Surgery, our physicians perform a wide variety of elective cosmetic surgeries, more than 600 annually. These include liposuction, abdominoplasty, facelifts, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, and mammoplasty. Reconstructive surgery is equally busy, with a wide range of surgeries performed to correct defects caused by injury, surgery, or congenital problems. Women undergoing mastectomy may have immediate breast reconstruction, most often using autogenous tissue Autologous Tissue in the form of the TRAM flap or the latissimus dorsi flap.
