Evaluation and Treatment

Our goal is to alleviate pain, restore function and re-establish normalcy in the patient's life. Spine Center physicians have access to WVU specialists in other disciplines who can assist with diagnosis and treatment as needed.

The Spine Center staff has access to state-of-the-art medical imaging technology, including specialized X-ray equipment that is used to guide spinal injections.

We work cooperatively with the patient's personal physician, physical therapist and other providers to ensure convenience and effectiveness of care. Each patient receives an extensive evaluation by a specially trained physician, who then works with the patient and other members of the Spine Center team to determine the best course of action, whether it's surgery or non-operative management of the problem.

Our approach includes neuro-rehabilitation, a specialty that combines neurology and rehabilitative medicine. Our experts provide evaluation, management and rehabilitation of neurological and orthopaedic problems related to the neck and back. We offer preventive and conservative management for patients with a wide variety of problems.
