WVU Healthcare Outpatient Center Quick Facts Currently, 50 percent of Physician Office Center clinics on the Health Sciences campus are operating at or over 90 percent capacity. The WVU Healthcare Outpatient Center will be located at University Town Centre. It will be a three-story, 109,000-square-foot building with 127 exam rooms. The building and site plans have been designed with consideration for future expansion. Total cost is $52 million. No state funds will be sought and no extraordinary rate increase is anticipated as a result of the construction. The new center, along with the tower expansion of Ruby Memorial Hospital, is expected to create about 800 new jobs. It expected to house up to 10 clinics, including: Behavioral Medicine; Neurology; Family Medicine; Cardiology; Internal Medicine/Medicine Specialties; Obstetrics and Gynecology; and Pediatrics. The anticipated opening is in 2016.
