Grateful patients can honor WVU doctors online

National Doctor’s Day is March 30

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – National Doctor’s Day, which will be celebrated on Sunday, March 30, gives patients a chance to show their gratitude for their physicians’ roles in caring for them and contributing to the advancement of medicine.

Since the yearly celebrations began at WVU in 2006, WVU Healthcare physicians have received hundreds of messages of appreciation from current and former patients.

Each honored physician receives a certificate including the patient’s written expression of thanks. Patients are also able to make a tax-deductible gift in honor of their physician.

Doctor’s Day brochures containing submission forms are located throughout WVU Healthcare’s Ruby Memorial Hospital, its outpatient clinics, and at area pharmacies.

To submit your message or make a gift, visit www.hsc.wvu.edu/drday.
