WV United Health System supports WVU School of Nursing

Gift to be matched by Research Trust Fund

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia United Health System (WVUHS) has made a gift of $42,500 to support research in the West Virginia University School of Nursing. This gift qualifies for a dollar for dollar match from the West Virginia Research Trust Fund, also known as Bucks for Brains.

The West Virginia United Health System Evidence-Based Nursing Practice Research Endowment will provide support to faculty and students in advance nursing research promoting high quality patient care.  It will augment the WVU Hospitals Evidence-Based Research Practice Professorship in Nursing.

With the expected match from the Research Trust Fund, the total amount the School receives from the fund will be $467,500.

The WVUHS is the largest healthcare system based in West Virginia, with member hospitals in north central West Virginia, the Parkersburg area and the Eastern Panhandle.
