Men’s Lacrosse Classic is Sept. 25-26

Proceeds benefit the Child Life Program at WVU Children’s Hospital

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University Men’s Lacrosse team will be hosting the WVU Children’s Hospital Lacrosse Classic Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Club teams from Ohio University, Penn State, Towson and Loyola of Baltimore will be participating in the tournament. A special game between the hosting WVU team and the WVU alumni team will take place Saturday at 4:15 p.m.

This is the second year the Men’s Lacrosse team has donated money to the Child Life Program at WVU Children’s Hospital from funds raised during the tournament, which is also known as the Mountaineer Invitational Lacrosse Tournament.

Flip Green, WVU Men’s Lacrosse coach, said, “When I looked around Morgantown for a community service project for the team, WVU Children’s Hospital just made sense.”

Admission for the tournament is free; however donations will be taken at the door and all proceeds will benefit the Child Life Program at WVU Children’s Hospital.
