WVU Healthcare to expand valet parking services

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Patients at West Virginia University Healthcare outpatient clinics on the Health Sciences campus will no longer have to worry about finding a place to park. Starting Monday (June 14), they can let the valets do it.

Valet parking services will be added to two new locations. Valets will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at the Emergency Department. They will also be available under the canopy between the Physician Office Center and the Eye Institute from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday. Patients at either clinic can utilize the valet service.

Valet parking is already offered at two other locations. The Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center’s valet parking is available from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday. The same hours apply to valet parking services located near the entrance to the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center, Clark K. Sleeth Family Medicine Center and the dental clinics.

“The last thing patients to the Emergency Department or the clinics want to worry about is finding a place to park,” Dan Harris, manager of security at WVU Hospitals, said. “We’re taking that added stress away for them so they can focus on their health.”

Valet parking at the clinics is free, and tipping is not required.
