Annual Rosenbaum Family House golf tournament is May 15

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The tenth annual Rosenbaum Family House golf tournament will take place May 15 at the Mountaineer Golf Course in Morgantown.

The tournament is a four player scramble, and participants have the option of either building their own team or being placed with a team. Prizes will be donated by local businesses, including a hole in one prize sponsored by Waterfront Jeep.

The proceeds benefit Rosenbaum Family House, a facility that provides lodging and support services to out-of-town adult patients and their families while they receive medical treatment at West Virginia University Hospitals.

Since opening in 1999, Rosenbaum Family House has served more than 7,500 families from all 50 states and 15 foreign countries. The facility is at full capacity 365 days a year, with a waiting list of 10 to 40 families every day.

“The golf tournament is one of a handful of special events held on an annual basis to support our organization,” Jena Prokopchuck, director of Rosenbaum Family House, said.  “All dollars raised from the golf event will go directly to the much needed expansion of the house, scheduled for later this year.”

Registration begins at 8 a.m., and players tee-off at 9 a.m. The cost is $65 per player. Golf carts, lunch and beverages will be provided.
