Cuts for a Cause to benefit WVU Children’s Hospital

Morgantown’s Nico Spalon to host April 18 event

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – If you’re in the market for a new look, head to Nico Spalon in Morgantown on April 18 and get a haircut during the second annual Cuts for a Cause, which will benefit West Virginia University Children’s Hospital.

The staff of Nico has planned several fundraising activities for the event. From noon to 5 p.m., patrons can have their hair cut and styled for $20. The stylists at Nico are donating their time for the day.

The spalon, a hair salon, art gallery and photography studio, located at 80 South Pierpont Road, will not take appointments for the day of the event. Instead, the staff hopes people will sign in and take advantage of other activities, including dollar-a-minute chair massages, karaoke and free food.

Pizza boxes turned into works of art by patients at WVU Children’s Hospital will be on display and available for purchase for a donation. Clarksburg Beauty Academy will also lend a hand to the event. Rosa Restaurant donated the pizza boxes and will be providing food.
