Chestnut Ridge Center seeks Grassroots Grants applications

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Chestnut Ridge Center, part of West Virginia University Hospitals, is seeking applications for its annual Grassroots Grants Program.  

This program provides financial support for community projects relating to mental health/mental illness, substance abuse and/or dependence or family preservation.

Consideration for grants is open to any non-profit (501c3) organization or group of individuals from West Virginia.  

In 2009 Chestnut Ridge Center distributed grants to nine non-profit agencies totaling $5,000.

“The Grassroots Grants program is a symbol of our commitment to the community and state and will help to provide much needed diversity of services for citizens,” Janet Scarcelli, community relations coordinator for Chestnut Ridge, said.

All applications shall be submitted to Chestnut Ridge Center Attention: Janet Scarcelli, 930 Chestnut Ridge Road, Box 9846, Morgantown, WV 26505.

The application deadline is April 30.
