WVU Children’s Hospital receives more than $12,000 from Eat’n Park restaurants

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University Children’s Hospital recently received a donation of more than $12,000 from Eat’n Park as part of its annual Caring for Kids Campaign, a five-week fundraiser held during the holiday season.

The $12,328 raised for WVU Children’s Hospital came from the employees and customers at the Eat’n Park restaurants in Morgantown, Bridgeport and Tridelphia, W.Va., and in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

Among the events held to raise funds for WVU Children’s Hospital were a Tips for Tots evening and yard sale at the Bridgeport location.

With this most recent donation, Eat’n Park has raised more than $135,000 for WVU Children’s Hospital.

“We sincerely appreciate the partnership we have with Eat’n Park and the generosity of its employees and customers,” Cheryl Jones, R.N., director of WVU Children’s Hospital, said. “We will use this money to provide high quality medical care to children from all over the state and region.”

WVU Children's Hospital provides maternal, infant and pediatric care for West Virginia and the surrounding region, giving care to high-risk mothers, premature infants and children with life-threatening conditions through adolescence to adulthood.
