Bridgeport Eat’n Park to host events for WVU Children’s Hospital

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Eat’n Park restaurants are known as “the place for smiles.” This holiday season, those smiles will help patients at West Virginia University Children’s Hospital with two special events at the Eat’n Park restaurant on Tolley Street in Bridgeport.

On Nov. 28 and 29, the community is invited to a “yard sale” in the back of the restaurant from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.  Employees and customers will bring items to sell.  Proceeds will go to WVU Children’s Hospital.

On Dec. 3, a “Tips for Tots” event is scheduled. All tips collected between 5 and 8 p.m. will be donated to WVU Children’s Hospital.

To date, Eat’n Park has donated more than $125,000 to WVU Children’s Hospital.

“We are so grateful to have partners like Eat’n Park that help us help children,” Cheryl Jones, director of WVU Children’s Hospital, said. “The money raised through events like these provide children from all over the state and region with the medical care they need.”

WVU Children's Hospital provides maternal, infant and pediatric care for West Virginia and the surrounding region, giving care to high-risk mothers, premature infants and children with life-threatening conditions through adolescence to adulthood.
