WVUH to host retirement fair

Event to be held Sept. 30

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University Hospitals Human Resources will host a retirement fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 30) in the east and west lobbies of Ruby Memorial Hospital for employees and the general public.

The fair is geared toward people of all ages – whether you are just starting out, planning for your family’s future or nearing retirement.

Experts will be there to answer retirement questions. Brochures and information will be provided.

A total of 17 organizations will be represented at the fair, including:

  • TIAA-CREF
  • VALIC
  • Mountain State Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Medicare/Social Security

A representative from AARP will also be there. AARP recently recognized WVUH as one of the nation’s Best Employers for Workers 50 and Over.

The retirement fair will also feature free wellness screenings, including blood pressure checks, osteoporosis screening, blood glucose testing, risk-factor awareness and information on the Dr. Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease.

The event is free.
