Rosenbaum Family House to hold ninth annual Charity Golf Tournament

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Rosenbaum Family House at West Virginia University Hospitals will hold its ninth annual Charity Golf Tournament June 20 at Mountaineer Golf Course in Morgantown.

Players will participate in a four-player scramble, which is set to begin at 9 a.m. Cost to participate is $65 per player, which includes golf cart, beverages, lunch and the opportunity to win prizes. All players will receive a ticket to the Nationwide Tour Players Cup at the Pete Dye Golf Course in Bridgeport.

Those interested in sponsoring the event can do so at the $50 (Par), $500 (Gold Cup) and $1,000 (Hilda Rosenbaum Club) levels.

Registration forms can be downloaded at health.wvu.edu/rosenbaum/events.aspx. The deadline to register is June 15.

Rosenbaum Family House offers a “home away from home” environment for adult patients and their families when patients receive extended treatments at WVU Hospitals and the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center.

Since opening in 1999, Family House has served more than 6,800 families in need. These families have come from all over the state, country and world.

A one-night stay at Family House costs the facility $40, an expense many families cannot afford. Guests are asked to pay $15 per night. Family House relies on community and individual support to maintain operations.
