End of life care is topic of ‘Doctors on Call’

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Governor Joe Manchin III has declared April 16 “Healthcare Decisions Day.”  This day was created to help raise awareness for the need to plan ahead for end of life care.

Two West Virginia University experts will answer viewers’ questions about the topic in a live presentation of “Doctors on Call” at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 16, on West Virginia Public Television.

Alvin H. Moss, M.D., is a nephrologist and director of the Center for Health Ethics and Law at WVU. He received his medical degree from University of Pennsylvania and his specialty training from University of North Carolina, University of Colorado and University of Chicago. 

Joshua M. Dower, M.D., is an internal medicine physician at WVU. He received his medical degree and specialty training from WVU.

The program will be hosted by Rolly Sullivan, M.D., a psychiatrist at WVU.

“Doctors on Call” is a joint production of the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center at WVU (www.wvuhealth.com) and West Virginia Public Broadcasting, a statewide network of radio, television, Internet and educational resources.
