Time to apply for WVUH ‘grassroots grant’ awards

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Calling all not-for-profit organizations in West Virginia – April 30 is the deadline to apply for a cash award of up to $1,000 from the Chestnut Ridge Center Grassroots Grant Program at West Virginia University Hospitals.

The annual grants competition provides seed money for community projects. The projects should relate to one of the following areas:

  • mental health
  • alcohol and drug abuse
  • family preservation

Funding may be used for events, materials, educational campaigns, treatment programs, conferences or related expenses.
The application should be no more than eight typed pages, and it must include project description, timeline, proposed budget and a description of the impact this funding could have on the population it would serve.
