Special parking arrangements at WVU Hospitals on game day

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Beginning at 4 p.m. before the Thursday, Oct. 23, Mountaineer football game against Auburn, parking rules will change for many lots around West Virginia University Hospitals.

Parking areas between WVU Hospitals and Milan Puskar Stadium normally dedicated to patient, visitor and employee parking, and all parking along Willowdale Road, will become game parking reserved for football game-day pass holders.

Patients or visitors to WVU Hospitals who are staying past Thursday afternoon will need to move their cars into the garage outside the Emergency Department.

Patients or visitors who are arriving on Thursday afternoon can pick up a game-day pass at the Emergency Department checkpoint.

For hospital employees working during this time, game-day parking passes can be picked up from supervisors or from WVUH Security in advance. In addition, WVU Hospitals has secured additional parking areas at the edges of the campus for employees and will provide security and shuttle service to and from the lots.

Detailed parking instructions can be picked up in both the lobby by the visitor elevators and the 4th floor by the cafeteria. One pamphlet including map is geared to patients and visitors, and a second is geared to hospital employees, residents and faculty.
