WVU Professor named Clinician of the Year

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Douglas Slain, Pharm. D., associate professor in the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy, has been selected as the 2007 Clinician of the Year by The Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP).

Dr. Slain is a Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties’ certified pharmacotherapy specialist. He serves as an anti-infective clinical specialist with the WVU Infectious Diseases Consult Service and outpatient Infectious Diseases Clinic.

SIDP is an association of health professionals dedicated to promoting the appropriate use of antimicrobial agents. The Society is comprised of pharmacists and other allied health care professionals who are concerned with widely varied aspects of antimicrobial use in settings which include clinical patient care, research, teaching, the pharmaceutical industry and government.
