WVU Department of Community Medicine sponsors student poster presentations

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University Department of Community Medicine will host its annual student poster presentation session from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, in the Health Sciences Center Cafeteria.

The session features more than 150 health-related poster presentations from undergraduate and graduate students from four classes – Women’s Health, Men’s Health, Gender and Violence and Environmental Health.

Each year the event showcases unique and interesting research done by the students on topics ranging from human trafficking, to different types of cancers and body piercing.

Students will be there to present and discuss their poster topics.

Many of the students also participated in a service project, collecting food and personal care items for Caritas House.  Caritas is an AIDS service organization in Morgantown.  More than thirty boxes full of items will be given to Caritas.
