Survivor’s Walk to Benefit WVU’s Breast Care Center
 Survivor's Walk 2006 On Saturday, August 11, breast cancer survivors, their families and friends will participate in a Survivor’s Walk for the 16th annual Betty Puskar FUTURES Golf Classic at the Pines Country Club.

During the event, the first annual “Betty Day” will be launched with Betty Puskar leading the breast cancer survivors on their walk in celebration of life and the fight against breast cancer. 


After the walk, participants are invited to the clubhouse for breakfast and an educational presentation by Jame Abraham, M.D., medical director of the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center clinic and head of the Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program at WVU. 

Ladies of the 2007 Duramed FUTURES Tour will tee-off on day two of the Morgantown tournament.  The winner will be announced Sunday at the conclusion of the championship weekend.   

Registration is $15 for the Survivor’s Walk and begins at 6:30 a.m. on August 11. The event will kick off at 7:15 a.m. 

The walk is sponsored by Huntington Bank, and the proceeds will benefit the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center at the WVU Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center.
