Women’s Health to be Topic of “Doctors on Call” July 19

At all stages of their lives, women have distinct health issues.  Two West Virginia University experts will answer viewers’ questions about women’s health in a live presentation of “Doctors on Call” Thursday, July 19, at 8 p.m. on West Virginia Public Television.

Mahreen Hashmi, M.D., is an obstetrician and gynecologist at WVU’s Cheat Lake Physicians.  She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio and her specialty training from Riverside Methodist Hospitals, Columbus, Ohio.  Her special interests include endometriosis and women’s health. 

Wanda Hembree, M.D., is an obstetrician and gynecologist at WVU’s Cheat Lake Physicians.  She received her medical degree from Marshall University and her specialty training from West Virginia University.  Her special interests include preconception, prenatal care, and gynecological surgery. 

“Doctors on Call” is a joint production of the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center at WVU (www.health.wvu.edu) and West Virginia Public Broadcasting (www.wvpubcast.org), a statewide network of radio, television, Internet and educational resources.
