‘One-Man Show’ of Sports Photography May 23

MORGANTOWN – Major Harris, the 2005 “Elite Eight” men’s basketball team and many more from the annals of Mountaineer sports history will come alive during the “One-Man Show” of sports photography, May 23.

Dale Sparks, former photographer for the Dominion Post and current photographer of West Virginia University athletic events will display 25 years of sports photography at the event at Touchdown Terrace at Milan Puskar Stadium from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is $10, which includes hors d’ oeuvres and beverages.

Proceeds benefit the Friends of WVU Hospitals, a group of volunteers who support patient care and comfort throughout the hospital.

Tickets for the event are available at the Friends Gift Shop at WVU Hospitals, Keglers, Triple S Harley Davidson, ALL-PRO Photography, MY Bank (Star City and Sabraton branches), and S&M Glass in Fairmont.

Photographs featuring the last 25 years of Mountaineer sports history will be available for purchase, both framed and unframed. Some photos will be familiar, while some will be a surprise to all.         

Current and former players and coaches will be on hand and available to sign unframed prints.

S&M Glass representatives will be available to coordinate matting and framing for customers.
