WVU Hospitals Nursing Services Community Drive

Ninth annual fundraiser supporting United Way

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Nursing Services Department at West Virginia University Hospitals will hold its 9th annual community drive this month, in conjunction with the United Way Day of Caring, May 23.

Collections will benefit Christian Help and the Scott’s Run Settlement House, both United Way agencies.

Items can be dropped off at the Volunteer Services Department at WVU Hospitals weekdays from May 7 through May 22. The office is located on the first floor of Ruby Memorial Hospital and will accept donations from 7 a.m. -  4 p.m. Items can also be dropped off May 23, the Day of Caring, from 7:45 a.m.- 2 p.m., at the former Foodland Building on the Mileground.

Christian Help will accept the following items: children’s clothing and shoes, backpacks, school supplies, and men’s and women’s professional clothing.

The following items are being collected for Scott’s Run Settlement House: new diapers (all sizes) baby wipes, formula (all types), onesies and sleepers, baby body wash and shampoo, baby wash cloths and towels, new bottle sets and receiving blankets.

All donations should be in new or excellent condition.
