Patients Can Honor Their WVU Doctors Online

Part of National Doctor's Day Celebration

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. - In honor of National Doctor’s Day, West Virginia University has established a place on the Internet for patients to express their appreciation for WVU’s physicians.

Patients can write a brief personal message to one or more physicians, or make a gift in a physician’s honor to support health care provided by WVU.  To show your appreciation, go to www.hsc.wvu.edu/development. Click on the Doctor’s Day icon to submit your message.

“This is the second year we have involved patients in our annual celebration,” said John E Prescott, M.D., Dean of the School of Medicine.  “Last year, we received hundreds of expressions of appreciation from patients to their WVU physicians. We look forward to hearing from those who are grateful for the care they have received and want to share their appreciation with their physicians.”

Each honored physician will receive a certificate including the patient’s written expression of appreciation.  The physicians will be recognized at WVU’s Doctor’s Day celebration on March 27.
