Mountaineer Fiesta sales will support patients and students

NEWELL, W.Va. –    West Virginia University President David C. Hardesty and his wife, Susan, gave their approval today to an agreement that will give shoppers the opportunity to own made-in-West Virginia Mountaineer items.

Sales of WVU-themed Fiesta ® products will benefit Friends of WVU Hospitals, the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center at WVU and WVU Scholarship programs. The items will be available exclusively at the Fiesta factory outlet stores in Newell and Flatwoods and the WVU Hospitals Friends Gift Shop.

WVU is proud to work together with this historic West Virginia company to support patients and students.

The items include plates, cups and other Fiesta china with the “Flying WV” logo and the image of the Mountaineer, the University’s mascot; and carafes, vases and mugs with the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center logo.

The items are currently available only in the WVU Hospitals Friends Gift Shop in Morgantown, and on its Web site, wvuhgift.com. The agreement will make the products available in the company’s outlet stores in Newell and Flatwoods.
