WVU-Maryland Game to Alter Hospital Parking

Patient, Visitor Parking Available in Gold South Parking Garage

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University Hospitals will provide parking in the Gold South Parking Garage (Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center Section) behind the hospital for patients and visitors during the WVU-Maryland football game scheduled for Thursday evening, Sept. 14.

The Gold South Parking Garage is adjacent to the Emergency Department and the Cancer Center off of Gold South Drive. Access to the hospital is through the Emergency Department.

Game day passes to enter the hospital for patients and families will be distributed by WVUH security officers at the Gold South Parking Garage checkpoint.

Patients and visitors may park in the Gold South Parking Garage beginning at 1 p.m. the afternoon of game day. All vehicles parked in the garage must be removed before 8 a.m. on Friday.

All vehicles must be removed from parking lots between the hospital and Milan Puskar Stadium by 4 p.m. on game day. Vehicles remaining in those lots after that time will be towed to the Emergency Department parking lot.

Parking lots will open for RVs at 4 p.m. on Thursday and at 5 p.m. for all other vehicles with game day parking passes. A limited number of RVs will be allowed to enter in advance and park in a specific location to ease traffic congestion. Any unauthorized vehicle that is in the lots with a football parking pass before those times will be towed. All cars and RVs must be removed from the parking lots by 2 a.m. on Friday. Any vehicle that is in the lots after 2 a.m. will be towed.

For emergency care or urgent visitations to Ruby Memorial Hospital, park in the Gold South Parking garage and enter through the Emergency Department.

For more information on urgent visitations, or for other questions or problems with access, call Hospital Security at (304) 598-4444.
