Rosenbaum Family House Tees It Up August 6

Mountainview Course at Lakeview Hosts Event

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. — The Fifth Annual Rosenbaum Family House Charity Golf Tournament will be held Sunday, Aug. 6, at 1 p.m. at the Mountainview Course at the Lakeview Golf Resort and Spa.

The Tournament is sponsored by West Virginia University Hospitals, Communications Plus and Waterfront Jeep.

Proceeds benefit the Rosenbaum Family House, which offers a home-away-from-home environment for adult patients and their families receiving extended treatment at WVU Hospitals and the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center.

The four-story building is located on the WVU Health Sciences Center campus and connects directly into Ruby Memorial Hospital for easy access to medical care. Its 26 hotel-style guest rooms and laundry facilities provide the privacy and conveniences of home. Two common kitchen areas are fully equipped with appliances and cooking and eating utensils. Lounges provide a comfortable relaxation space with access to books, puzzles, videos, and games for family enjoyment.

Rosenbaum Family House offers programs designed to provide spiritual and emotional support. For many families facing a medical crisis, this is as important as having an affordable place to stay. More than 30 volunteers and community organizations offer meals, support groups, prayer services, music therapy and other activities that make Rosenbaum Family House a home away from home.

Since opening in 1999, Family House has served more than 5,600 families in need from all over the region and state.

Golfers will participate in a four-player scramble with golf cart provided, receive a tournament gift bag, and attend an awards banquet and pig roast at the conclusion of the tournament. Hole-in-One Prizes will also be awarded, including $21,000 towards the purchase of any new vehicle at Waterfront Jeep

The cost of the tournament is $70 per player. For more information, contact Tournament Director Joe Kraynak at (304) 598-4000 ext. 77680 or kraynakj@rcbhsc.wvu.edu
