CNN’s Nancy Grace to Speak at Greenbrier Gala

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.— Nancy Grace, host of Nancy Grace, a nightly talk show on CNN Headline News, will be the featured speaker at the 2006 Greenbrier Gala, May 5-7, in White Sulphur Springs. The annual event is the single largest fund-raiser for West Virginia University’s Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center.

The outspoken TV anchor and legal commentator will present her talk to participants at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 6. Grace, who also anchors daily trial coverage on Court TV’s Closing Arguments, has covered a wide range of landmark legal cases from Scott Peterson to Martha Stewart and Kobe Bryant.  She is a frequent guest on CNN’s Larry King Live and appears on various cable and network programs including NBC’s Weekend Today, ABC’s The View, and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

The 2006 Gala will be the 21st signature event for the Cancer Center. The theme “Coming of Age” will focus on the great strides made thus far in fighting cancer, while looking ahead at promising ways to build on the Cancer Center’s progress.

The special weekend also includes a wine tasting and culinary demonstration by the Barboursville Vineyards Culinary Arts Center, golf, tennis, and skeet tournaments, and will culminate with a black tie dinner dance featuring the sounds of the Benny Benack Swing Band at 8:30 Saturday evening.

Registration is $250 per person. Accommodations are available through The Greenbrier. Call Lora Edgell, director of annual giving, at (304) 293-3711 for more information.
