Cards of Hope Cash Bash to Benefit Young Cancer Patients

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.— The annual U.S. Cellular Cards of Hope cash bash and auction will be held at 6 p.m., Nov. 5, at Lakeview Golf Resort and Conference Center in Morgantown.  All proceeds are used to help fight children’s cancer.

Cards of Hope are holiday greeting cards designed by young cancer patients at WVU Children’s Hospital and their siblings during an annual summer party. All of the original designs of the party participants will be displayed and auctioned during the cash bash. The public is encouraged to attend.

Five-thousand dollars in cash will be given away throughout the evening, including a $2,000 grand prize. Additional cash awards will be presented every 15 minutes starting at 7 p.m. until the grand prize drawing at 10 p.m. Winners need not be present to win.

The U.S. Cellular Cards of Hope Program is a joint project of WVU’s Cancer Center and WVU Children’s Hospital. It was devised to raise money for WVUH’s Pediatric Cancer Care and Research Fund, which provides a wide range of activities and support services to families of children who are battling cancer.
