Doctors to Answer Questions at Kids Fair

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. –  Five WVU children’s specialists will be available to answer kids’ and parents’ questions at the WVU Kids Fair Saturday at the Morgantown Mall.

They are:

  • 11 a.m.   Toni Goodykoontz, M.D., J.D. Dr. Goodykoontz is a psychiatrist and the medical director of Chestnut Ridge Day Hospital. Her specialties include adolescent and pediatric mental health, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, school problems, aggression, oppositional behavior and depression.

  • 12 p.m.    Benjamin Siu, M.D. Dr. Siu is a pediatric cardiologist at WVU. His special interests include genetics.
  • 1 p.m.   Jean Someshwar, M.D. Dr. Someshwar is a pediatrician at WVU.
  • 2 p.m.   Frank Keller, M.D. Dr. Keller is a pediatric cancer specialist at WVU.
  • 3 p.m.   John Collins, M.D. Dr. Collins is the chief of pediatric neurosurgery at WVU. His specializes in pediatric brain tumors, head injuries and pediatric spinal operations.

The fair, which will be held from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., will feature a walk with Funshine Bear, free health screenings, puppet shows, appearances, and 45 interactive health and safety exhibitors. There will even be a WVAQ lip sync contest for those future entertainers in the crowd.
