WVU Wound Management Center
If you have diabetes or circulation problems and have a wound that has not healed in four to eight weeks, you may need to see the experts at the WVU Wound Management Center.
Chronic medical conditions may prevent wounds from healing. Open wounds can be a serious health risk and possibly lead to a life-threatening infection.
The WVU Wound Management Center team specializes in treating complex or recurring wounds. Our highly trained staff can treat injuries related to chronic medical conditions using various therapy techniques, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT).
With hyperbaric oxygen therapy, patients breathe oxygen in a pressurized chamber, which increases the blood-oxygen level in the body and accelerates the wound healing process.
