Flu Season is right around the corner

You need to receive the vaccine annually because the immunity you get from a vaccine dwindles over time and the strains of flu the vaccine covers changes every year.

Anyone 6 months and older can and should get the flu vaccine, especially if you are over 65, pregnant, or have a medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or chronic lung disease. It is also important to get a flu vaccination if you are a caregiver for people in high-risk groups.

If you are over 65 or are in a high-risk category, you should also consider a pneumonia vaccine. Check with your healthcare provider. They will let you know if you need one.

You can get your flu vaccine at any of our primary care locations.
