WVU Healthcare EXPO 2012
Come have fun, learn about good health, talk with experts, or take advantage of the health screenings at the annual WVU Healthcare Expo.
The 2012 WVU Healthcare Expo will be: Friday, October 5, from 8 am to 7 pm at the Morgantown Mall.
Forty-seven exhibitors from WVU Healthcare, WVU Health Sciences, and other affiliates make this one of the area’s largest wellness events.
You will be able to speak with hundreds of WVU professionals: doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, therapists, and others about strokes, mental health, substance abuse, weight management, lung disease, and other topics.
If you visit the Expo Welcome Center near Garfield’s you can get a free map, have your questions answered, and register to win a recumbent bike.
There will be special appearances throughout the day by Monti, the Mountaineer Bear, the Hearts of Gold Service Dogs, and others.

WVU Cheat Lake Physicians will be offering Flu Shots for $25. You must 8 years or older to receive the vaccine. Cash or checks will be accepted, and the shot is free to those with a Medicare card.
WVU School of Pharmacy will provide cholesterol screenings (total and HDL) for $10. Fasting is not required, and you may pay by cash or check.
WVUH Clinical Laboratories will offer the following blood screenings from 6:30 am – noon:

Pre-registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Call 800-982-8242 for an appointment. You may pay for the test with cash or a check at the Expo.
Bonnie’s Bus Mobile Mammography will be performing mammogram screenings from 9 am – 2 pm. You must have an order from a healthcare provider to receive a mammogram. If you don’t have an order, the physician or nurse practitioner at the breast exam booth can place one.
Pre-registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Call 304-293-2370 for an appointment.
WVU Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center will offer clinical breast exams from 9 am – 6 pm.
Participants’ insurance companies will be billed; and payment options are available. If you would also like to have a mammogram, the physician and nurse practitioner providing breast exams can place an order.
