2012 WVU Healthcare Sprint, Splash and Spin Triathlon
Come join us in promoting community health and wellness in WVU Hospitals’ Sprint, Splash ‘n Spin triathlon. The event, which showcases the city’s parks and rail-trails, begins Friday, August 24
th with an under-14 children’s race and continues Saturday, August 25
th with the adult and team race.
The triathlon opens with the swimming segment at Marilla Park in Sabraton and moves to the rail-trail for the biking and running portions of the event. The kids’ race involves a 66-yard swim, a one-and-a-half-mile bike trek, followed by a half-mile run. Adults must swim 300 yards, bike 11 miles, and run 3.11 miles.
Proceeds from the event benefit Mon County Habitat for Humanity. Pre-registration for the triathlon is required, and the last day to register will be August 22nd.
If you plan to enter the race as a team, you must register in person at the BOPARC office.
Early bird registration runs until July 31
st. August 1
st starts regular registration.
