WVU Hospitals

WVU Hospitals, a 531-bed tertiary care center, serves as the primary teaching destination for West Virginia University’s health professions schools. We are a member of the West Virginia United Health System.
 
The clinical excellence of WVU Hospitals has been nationally recognized (Level One Trauma Center, Magnet recognition for nursing, etc.), and we are widely considered a leading employer of choice for our employee-friendly environment and approach.

WVU Hospitals includes Ruby Memorial Hospital, WVU Children's Hospital,  Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center, and Chestnut Ridge Hospital in Morgantown, and University Healthcare in the eastern part of the state.

Our hospital serves the state and our local community by providing the highest level of health care available anywhere. But we realize that our responsibility does not end there. We also provide support to the people of West Virginia by making sure that health care is available to all, regardless of income of health insurance; by supporting important educational and social welfare activities in the community; and by providing financial support to the health professions education programs of West Virginia University.
